This painting is from the south-eastern corner of Babbs Mill Lake in Kingshurst, Birmingham just before you reach the football fields.
It was an overcast day and had just finished raining as I reached this point. I've tried to liven it up a little more with a bit of blue in the sky and water.

I'm glad you're finding some nice subjects Steven and doing some good work from them. It seems to me that they have a bit more feeling in them and I expect that's because of their connection to you.
Hi Keith, I’m glad you’ve noticed a little more sentiment in my recent work. I certainly find it more satisfying when I find painting subjects in my own neighbourhood. I suppose the next step would be to paint them plein-air.
