'Still Waters' Watercolour Painting 15" x 11"

I was experimenting with just 2 colours for this painting.  I only used Raw Sienna and Ultramarine Blue for this one.  I think I should have cleaned the brush a little more often as most the land and trees are the same colour.  Still, another lesson learnt!  All paintings are at http://www.stevencronin.com

I love limited-palette paintings. I think the blue and sepia work well together, and I wouldn't have noticed that the land was muddy if you hadn't have said something.

How did you shape the trees? Did you just press the side of a brush against the paper?

Thanks NetRaptor. The trees were painted with the corner of a hake brush. I probably do 99% of most paintings with a large hake. Thanks for looking. Regards, Steven.
