Very simple watercolour of Loch Ard in Stirling.
I was thinking of producing a book from this Watercolour Diary blog. I don't know if it would be a good idea or not to include other peoples comments below each post in the book from the blog. In fact I don't know whether it would be legal or not to do so. Maybe if I put some kind of disclaimer on the home page? I can see a possible can of worms to be honest. It may be easier to just include my own words and pictures.

Yes I think it would be best to leave out the comments. They work well on a blog where you can link to the people making the comments. In a book they will all be anonymous and not always all that relevant.
Hi Steven, when I looked at your oil painting book on line it was nice to see what you had written. Your introduction, your materials and the subjects you had chosen. It is about your artworld and as a viewer it was good to read about that. If there had been comments from fellow bloggers or friends it still would not have changed what I thought about the book. A book is an interaction between writer and reader this is why the saying 'you are never alone when you read a book' is so true. A reader likes to take a wee journey along with the writer and to learn or experience new places.
I think the blogging world is more sociable while the book reading world is quiet and more mediative.
Very interesting to learn how you caught such a perfect reflection in the lake, lovely work.
I think you're right Keith. Thanks.
Thanks for the continued words of encouragement Caroline. It is very much appreciated. As for reflections, my preferred method is to wet the paper below and then just bash them in as quickly as possible before the paper dries. As long as the colours are roughly the same you can get away with it.
