Wow! love the painting and I do know this loch very well.
Your painting has a very contemporary feel to it and the water colour is very nice, good shape of cloud too. I don't think it needs a boat in it the atmosphere says it all.
Yes I don't think it matters about the boats. It has a nice calm atmosphere.
