I kept the backdrop as simple as possible in this watercolour of The Storr on the Isle of Skye and just concentrated on trying to capture the light. I felt a little boat in the foreground would help add interest.
I had an invite from YouTube to apply for the revenue sharing programme from the advertising next to one of my painting videos. I applied for the advertising revenue sharing programme a while back but they declined due to my low video viewing figures. If accepted it will only amount to a few pennies a day but if I can get many more videos into the programme it may amount to something more substantial.
One thing's for certain, I need to add some kind of narration to make them more viewable and interesting. I've noticed the artist talks in the most popular videos but as yet I can't talk and paint at the same time. I was thinking of adding a narration afterwards as I watch the video back. That may work.

This is another painting with good lighting in it. Having seen this view for myself, I can say that you've got the feeling of the place nicely.
Doing the narration for the videos later seems like a good idea to me.
Thanks Keith. Happy painting!
