I do feel though that my paintings are improving as well as my confidence. I’m waiting until I get a batch of local paintings that I’m happy with and then I’ll approach some galleries by me. I did try a craft fair last year but had very little success. I had lots of compliments but very little cash changed hands. I’ll just keep practising. Best of luck.
Regards, Steven.

A lovely sky and very dramatic. Sometimes it is OK to rework a watercolour sky and your sky is a fine example of one that is very successful.
Do try the craft fairs Steven I think your work would do very well there. Maybe ask a picture framer to display one of your mounted watercolour paintings in his window on a wee easel I am sure that would get your work seen by a lot of people interested in buying a painting. When you gain confidence then you can approach a small gallery and ask them if there is a buying market for watercolour paintings in their gallery. I believe it is just a question of finding the right venue. You could also try libraries and museums they often have exhibition areas and you could apply for a grant from the arts council to help towards the payment of frames. There are companies that supply very reasonably priced mounts and frames to trade that will cut your costs. High Street Framers can be terribly expensive. Good luck.

Lovely painting! It looks very dramatic.
I think it would certainly be worth trying a car-boot sale. People are more likely to buy if they can see what they are getting. It's nice to get some feedback too.
I don't know whether you have any craft fairs in your area, but they are another possibility. A table usually costs £10 or £15 and people are going there to buy arts and crafts.

You probably know already, but you can get clear plastic bags for displaying mounted artwork.
